Idyllwild Inn if you want to walk to dinner. Strawberry Creek Inn if you want quiet, a fireplace and a tub. Tahquitz Pines Retreat if you are bringing a family or a group, or you want the pool. All three are within a few minutes of each other.

Yes. One search covers all three properties, and you can filter across every room we have. That is the main reason the three sites became one.

Search all three before giving up. If Idyllwild Inn is full on your dates, Strawberry Creek Inn or Tahquitz Pines Retreat often is not, and they are minutes apart.

Yes. Tahquitz Pines Retreat has a variety of private event spaces, and clusters of rooms and cabins that are perfect for groups. Visit our Weddings & Groups pages for more information and to submit an inquiry.

Tahquitz Pines Retreat. The pool is heated from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and is available to all guests at Tahquitz Pines Retreat, along with the other outdoor activities. Guests at Idyllwild Inn or Strawberry Creek Inn can access the pool and activities with a daily Activity Pass, available at the Tahquitz Pines Retreat front desk for $25.

Every room at all three properties includes a coffee station and refrigerator. Many rooms and cabins at Tahquitz Pines Retreat and Idyllwild Inn have a kitchen and dining area. Use the Full kitchen or Kitchenette filter to find available options for your dates.

At Tahquitz Pines Retreat, The Peak Restaurant and Bar serves lunch and dinner among the trees, six days a week. It is open to the public, so guests at all three properties are welcome, and it’s a short drive from Idyllwild Inn and Strawberry Creek Inn. Guests at Idyllwild Inn are a short walk from Idyllwild Brewpub and the village restaurants. Strawberry Creek Inn is walking distance to a handful of cafes, but just a few minutes drive to the town center.

Yes, at Tahquitz Pines Retreat. There is an event lawn, a chapel and an amphitheater, and enough rooms and cottages to keep the whole party on site. Start with the weddings and groups page and send an inquiry.

It’s about a two hour drive, depending on traffic, with two primary routes up the hill to choose from.

Chains may be required by Caltrans when snowy or winter conditions exist. Conditions can change quickly; if you’re planning a winter visit, watch the weather and road conditions closely, allow extra time, and be prepared for chain requirements if there’s snow in the forecast.

There are two regional airports with scheduled service within a 90 minute drive: Ontario and Palm Springs. Both have rental cars available.

Los Angeles International Airport, Hollywood-Burbank Airport and San Diego Airport provide additional flight options, but are further away.

We love dogs, and your dog is welcome in select cabins at Idyllwild Inn and Tahquitz Pines Retreat. Filter your search for pet friendly to find available rooms. Dogs may not be left alone in rooms. Some dog supplies are available at our gift shops.

Check-in is at 3:00pm and check-out is at 11:00am. Late checkout may be available for a $25 fee, ask at the front desk.
